The keylocks on the Foxton Range (With the exception of the SH1 gate lock) have been replaced with number locks. All number locks open with the same numbers which are only available to full members with a B endorsement on their FAL. Please ensure you follow the procedure below to ensure that strangers cannot obtain the number code from any locks left open.
LPC Number lock procedure
This procedure applies to LPC members who have access to the Foxton outdoor range:
PLEASE NOTE: The number lock code is confidential to you. You are NOT allowed to share this code with anybody. Sharing your code will be considered serious misconduct.
Members who have lost or forgotten their code have to contact the LPC secretary to obtain a new code.
Opening and closing the number lock:
1. Enter your 5-digit code on the number lock by turning the number wheels and lining the code up in the middle of the lock. All the number locks have the same opening code.
2. Push the black button at the bottom of the lock and the shackle will release.
3. Removed the chain from the lock or the lock from the container bracket.
4. Ensure you always close the lock after entering/opening and change all the numbers. This will guarantee that nobody can follow after you and obtain the lock numbers.
5. The numbers on the number lock will be changed at least once a year around the 1st of May or when breaches have been detected.
6. PLEASE ENSURE THIS PROCEDURE IS FOLLOWED EACH TIME YOU ENTER THE FOXTON RANGE
